University of Iowa Facilities Management will conduct a series of steam blows at the east side of the Power Plant starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 10 and ending by 4 p.m. During this time period there will be several short, loud steam blows similar to the sound of the noon whistle. A large steam plume will be visible.

The steam blows are required as part of the Back-up Power Generation project at the Power Plant.

The Burlington Street sidewalk on the south side by the Power Plant is closed for ongoing work and personnel will be posted to ensure no pedestrians are in the immediate area.
