The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History is offering summer art workshops from 2-4 p.m. on Saturdays through the month of July. Each workshop is focused around a different Native American theme ranging from musical instruments to corn husk dolls.

Workshops are taught by Denise Oriano, recent graduate from the UI School of Art and Art History.

The workshops are for children entering grades 3-6 this fall. Class space is limited. There is a fee $5 per child. Pre-registration is required, so please visit the Museum of Natural History website to sign up.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all UI-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact the Museum of Natural History in advance at 319-335-0606.
