“Foiled Again,” an exhibit of works by students of Professor Virginia Myers, is being held in conjunction with the 23rd annual University of Iowa Summer Foil Imaging Workshop.

The exhibition is on display through June 27 at the Drewelowe Gallery in Studio Arts Building, located at 1375 Highway 1 West. A reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 5; the public is invited to attend.

In the early 1980s, Myers adapted an industrial technique to create foil imaging, a revolutionary printmaking process using the Iowa Foil Printer. Myers has presented in more than 100 one-person exhibitions in the United States and abroad, and has participated in more than 150 juried exhibitions and traveling shows nationally and internationally. Her work is included in collections at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.; the Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo, Ohio; and the Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines, Iowa, among others.

The School of Art and Art History is part of the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. For accommodations at the exhibit, contact the School of Art and Art History at 319-335-1771. For a UI arts calendar and details about upcoming events visit the new Arts Iowa website.
