Old Capitol reception, exhibits, and performances continue as planned
Friday, June 14, 2013

Due to an increased risk of thunderstorms, today’s Arts and Minds: A Celebration of Partnership program is moving to its rain location—Macbride Auditorium in Macbride Hall on the University of Iowa Pentacrest.

The program begins at 3:30. A reception, performances by UI School of Music students, and exhibits of work by UI School of Art and Art History students will continue as planned in the Old Capitol.

The 2:45 media availability featuring UI Facilities Management and arts program officials also will continue in the Old Capitol as planned.

The Friday, June 14, event marks the start of work on replacement facilities for the UI School of Art and Art History, School of Music, and Hancher, and thanks the local, state, and federal partners who are helping the university rebuild from the flood of 2008.
