Faculty achievements in teaching, research, and service honored at May event

The University of Iowa College of Public Health has announced the recipients of its 2013 collegiate teaching, research, and service awards. The recipients were recognized at an event held earlier in May.

The honors included:

Faculty Teaching Award (with less than 10 years of service): George Wehby, associate professor of health management and policy

Faculty Teaching Award (with more than 10 years of service): Mary Aquilino, clinical associate professor of community and behavioral health and associate dean for the Master of Public Health and undergraduate programs

Faculty Service Award: Joe Cavanaugh, professor of biostatistics

Faculty Research Award: Christopher Coffey, professor of biostatistics and director of the Clinical Trials Statistical and Data Management Center

Staff award recipients, New Faculty Research Award recipients, and members newly elected to the UI chapter of the Delta Omega Honor Society in Public Health also were recognized.
