The famous astrophysicist gives 2012-2013 Distinguished Lecture

Celebrated astrophysicist and science communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson visited the University of Iowa this week. Tyson stopped by an astronomy class, held court in a casual chat with invited faculty and students, strolled the streets of Iowa City, and gave a spirited public talk at the Memorial Union.

His visit was sponsored the University Lecture Committee as part of the 2012-2013 Distinguished Lecturer series. Click the photos below to follow Tyson's tour.
