Scenes from the University of Iowa's day at the Iowa State Capitol
Wednesday, April 3, 2013

April 2 was caucus time again—the Hawkeye Caucus, that is.

The annual event drew about 100 students and representatives from more than 30 University of Iowa programs to the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. The focus: UI connections with communities across Iowa.

A Monday evening reception at the State Historical Society welcomed Des Moines area alumni and friends. Tuesday's big event filled the Capitol building's rotunda with black and gold.

The Hawkeye Caucus is a grassroots outreach program that aims to inform Iowans about how the university helps make the state smarter, healthier, more livable, and more prosperous. Learn more at www.hawkeyecaucus.com.
