Collaboration is critical in today’s business world—and an upcoming networking event from the University of Iowa Alumni Association offers the chance to make some important connections with fellow Hawkeyes.

The Alumni Networking Happy Hour—“Business and Entrepreneurship Industries” on Monday, April 8, takes place in conjunction with the grand opening of the Iowa City Area Development Group’s IC Colab, a contemporary workspace in Iowa City that encourages professional collaboration and economic development.

During this casual and engaging evening event, Dan Reed, UI vice president for research and economic development, and David Hensley, UI interim associate vice president for economic development, will discuss the future of business and entrepreneurship in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids Corridor.

The Alumni Networking Happy Hour—“Business and Entrepreneurship Industries” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at the IC Colab, 316 E. Court Street, Iowa City. The event is free and open to the public, and complimentary appetizers will be provided. Register by noon on Wednesday, April 3, at www.iowalum.com/career/ICAD.

This event is co-sponsored by the Iowa City Area Development Group (ICAD).

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all UI-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, contact Whit France-Kelly in advance at 319-335-3296.
