The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free performance by the UI Chamber Orchestra, led by William LaRue Jones, director of orchestral studies, at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 10, in Riverside Recital Hall.

Chun-Ming Chen, Hyeyoun Jang, Benjamin Nadel, and David Tedford will join Jones as conductors for the performance.

The program will feature works by Beethoven, Emmanuel Chabrier, Donald Martin Jenni, François Devienne (featuring UI faculty member Nicole Esposito on flute), and Luigi Cherubini.

The Chamber Orchestra, designed for graduate students, is based around the ensemble format established during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Its repertoire covers a broad range from Classical and early Romantic composers to contemporary.

The School of Music is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. For accommodations at the concert contact the School of Music at 319-335-1603. For a UI arts calendar and details about upcoming events visit the new Arts Iowa website.
