The University and Concert Bands of the University of Iowa School of Music will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the Second Floor Ballroom of the Iowa Memorial Union.

Conductor Steven Riley and guest conductors Eric Bush and Kevin Kessler will lead the University Band in performances of Symphonic Overture by Charles Carter, Voodoo by Daniel Bukvich, A Tribute to Grainger by Chalon Ragsdale, The Old Grumbly Bear by Julius Fucik, and The Fairest of the Fair by John Philip Sousa.

The Concert Band is conducted by Kevin Kastens, director of the Hawkeye Marching Band; he will be joined by guest conductors Eric Bush and Ernest Jennings. The Concert Band will perform Festive Overture, Opus 96 by Dmitri Shostakovich; Symphony on Themes of John Phillip Sousa, Movement II: After the Thunderer by Ira Hearshen; An Original Suite by Gordon Jacob; and The Wind and the Lion by Jerry Goldsmith.
