The University of Iowa Chamber Orchestra and the All-University String Orchestra, with graduate-student conductors Chun-Ming Chen, Hyeyoun Jang, Benjamin Nadel, and David Tedford, will present a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus.

The All-University String Orchestra program will feature Furiant by Elliot Del Borgo; Le Triomphe de L’Amour by Jean Baptist Lully; Psalm and Fugue, op. 40a by Alan Hovhaness; and Directions North by Donald Coakley.

The Chamber Orchestra will perform Le Coin des enfants by Claude Debussy; Raspberry Island Dreaming by Libby Larsen; and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 in C Major, Op. 21.

Raspberry Island Dreaming will feature UI faculty member Katherine Eberle, mezzo-soprano. Eberle, who has taught at the UI for more than 20 years, specializes in oratorio, chamber music, art song, and opera. Her concert credits include solo performances with the symphonies of Detroit, Lansing, and Saginaw, Mich., and Atlanta, Macon, Rome, and Valdosta, Ga. She has given more than 100 solo recitals as a guest artist in 18 states and several countries.
