Anthony Stoops, associate professor of double bass at the University of Oklahoma and an alumnus of the University of Iowa, will perform at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17, in the University Capitol Centre Recital Hall.

The guest recital is free and open to the public.

Stoops’ program will feature the music of fellow Iowa alumni David Maki (associate professor of theory/composition at Northern Illinois University), John Allemeier (associate professor of composition at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte), and Ching-chu Hu (an Iowa City native and associate professor of theory/composition at Denison University). In addition, Stoops will play "Night Music" by longtime UI composition faculty member D. Martin Jenni.
