Lecture and film screening to take place Oct. 4

The Fall 2012 University of Iowa Proseminar in Cinema and Culture, “The Moving Image Among the Arts,” presents a lecture by Angela Dalle Vacche, professor at the School of Literature, Media, and Communication at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dalle Vacche, a UI alumna, will present “Cinema and the Museum: Olivier Assayas' Summer Hours (2008)” followed by a screening of Summer Hours (L'heure d'été, 2008, Olivier Assayas, 103 mins). The lecture and screening begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, in the auditorium of Art Building West. The two events are co-sponsored by the Institute for Cinema and Culture, International Programs, and the School of Art and Art History in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
