Savor the ambiance of the Napoleonic empire! Fine French food—is there any other kind?!—and live music will rule the night when the University of Iowa Museum of Art stages its fall Museum pARTy Saturday, Oct. 13, at hotelVetro in downtown Iowa City.

The event begins with cocktails from 6 to 7 p.m., and the dinner and presentation will follow from 7 to 9 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will support UIMA programming for the 2012-13 year, including the current exhibition, "Napoléon and the Art of Propaganda,” currently on view at the Old Capitol Museum and the Black Box Theatre, Iowa Memorial Union.

The event will take place in hotel Vetro's E.W. Lehman Ballroom. Live music will be performed by the Iowa Quartet and by soprano Rachel Joselson and pianist Rene Lecuona. Tickets are available by calling 319-335-1725.

Le musée pARTi! will feature reproductions of paintings of Napoléon. The music, decorations, food, fun photo opportunities and special guest, collection owner Pierre-Jean Chalençon, will guarantee une soirée élégante!
