October event aimed at kids in grades 1-5

The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History (MNH) continues its "Night at the Museum" program with an event focused on the night sky, space exploration, and astronomy.

Children will explore the galaxies in darkened museum halls with their own official MNH headlamp hat and participate in fun and games on Friday, Oct. 12, from 6-9 p.m. The Cedar Amateur Astronomers will give a presentation in the Macbride Auditorium to be followed by tours in darkened Mammal and Bird halls, crafts and stories. The event includes pizza provided by sponsor Papa John's Pizza of Iowa City.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited to 20 children in grades 1-5. There is a fee of $25 per child. To pre-register, call 319-335-0606.
