New Gallery play opens Oct. 5

The Gallery series of the University of Iowa Department of Theatre Arts will present The Rink of Red, a student production written by Eva Adderley and directed by Mark Smolyar, at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, in the UI Theatre Building.

The play is billed as, “The art of bullfighting. The violence of dance. Vengeance and romance. Will Bezier prove to be a city of love...or a city of blood?”

Admission is free for UI students with a valid UI ID and $5 for general audiences.

This play contains material of an adult nature. Potential audience members who are concerned about whether it is appropriate for them should contact the department at 319-335-2700 for additional information. Also contact the department for accommodations at the event.
