Museum of Natural History's series is free, family friendly

The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History will begin its fall “Movies@MNH” series Sunday, Sept. 2, at 2 p.m. in the Macbride Auditorium. The movie series is a free family event open to the public.

This month’s movie is a NOVA feature titled Last Extinction: What Killed the Mammoths? Learn what North America was like fifteen thousand years ago and find out what scientists think really happened to the mammoths.

Next month’s feature is Dinosaur Wars on Oct. 9.
