Meeting in University Capitol Centre is open to the public

The bi-monthly meeting of the Partnership for Alcohol Safety will take place Wednesday, July 11, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Room 2390 of the University Capitol Centre (also known as the Old Capitol Town Centre) in downtown Iowa City. The room is located on the second floor of the mall, above Cookies and More.

The meeting is open to the public.

Agenda items include a review of an Iowa Program for Alcohol Compliance TrainingAwareness Survey with Iowa City alcoholic beverage licensees, the University of Iowa contract with Anheuser Busch, and a discussion of the issues and challenges of related to sales to intoxicated persons laws.

The Partnership for Alcohol Safety is a joint project of the UI and the City of Iowa City. Its mission is to identify and advocate for strategies that reduce high-risk drinking and promote a vibrant downtown.
