Emergency warning sirens, including several on the University of Iowa campus, will sound a day later than usual in July because of the Independence Day holiday.

The Johnson County Emergency Management Agency will test the sirens at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 5. The sirens are typically tested the first Wednesday of every month, which this year happens to fall on July 4.

Questions about the test can be directed to Johnson County Emergency Management at 319-356-6761.
