University of Iowa Orientation Services took a group of Hawkeye Guides to the National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) Region V Conference in April. Students and staff were recognized for their achievements throughout the year and at the conference.

The University of Iowa was recognized with the Outstanding Delegation Award based on the Hawkeye Guides’ positive representation and intentional interaction with others throughout the conference.

Rae Debner, Alaa Elsheikh, and Mary Garvert were recognized with the Outstanding Student Presentation Award for their presentation titled “StrengthsQuest: How to Use it to Build a Strong Team.”

Tina Arthur, assistant director in Orientation Services, was recognized as the New Professional of the Year.
