Old Capitol Museum hosts children's program on May 19

The University of Iowa Old Capitol Museum will host the children's program "History Time: Lewis and Clark" at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, in the Museum's Discovery Center. This free, public program caters to children age 4 and up.

Join the Old Capitol Museum staff as they read Seaman's Journal: On the Trail With Lewis and Clark by Patti Reeder Eubank and explore the journey of the famous adventurers Lewis and Clark. After the story, participants will have the opportunity to make a special traveling treat.

The Old Capitol Museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. The museum is closed Mondays and national holidays. For more information, visit www.uiowa.edu/oldcap.
