UI faculty concert at Zion Lutheran Church

Organist Gregory Hand will be joined by trumpeter Amy Schendel to present a University of Iowa School of Music faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, in Iowa City’s Zion Lutheran Church. The recital is free and open to the public.

The program will be the Prelude and Fugue in B minor, BWV544, by J. S. Bach; Impromptu from Pièces de Fantasie, Book III, Op. 54, by Louis Vierne; Cromorne en taille à 2 parties from Livre d'orgue by Nicolas deGrigny; Concert Variations upon Old Hundredth by John Knowles Paine; Sonata for Trumpet and Organ by Harald Genzmer; Cantilène from Symphonie Romane, op. 73, by Charles-MarieWidor; and Prelude et Fugue sur le nom d'ALAIN by MauriceDuruflé.
