Registration is now open for University of Iowa Recreational Services' popular summer Wildlife Camps at Macbride Nature Recreation Area (MNRA).

The program offers options throughout June and July for students who have completed kindergarten through high school. Options include a 4-day insect exploration camp for second through fifth graders, overnight canoeing and hiking trips for seventh graders, a field investigations program for high schoolers, and much more. Campers will be transported by bus or van to MNRA and selected field sites.

These camps started in 1991 to introduce area youth to the beauty and diversity of our natural world through hands-on activities that blend environmental education and outdoor recreation.

Information about individual camps and registration forms are available on the Recreational Services' website here.
