The University of Iowa has debuted an app that details each of the more than 8,000 trees on campus. The UI Tree Inventory app delivers information about the number and location of trees and their condition, size, and species, with additional links to photos and descriptions.

Vice President for Student Life Tom Rocklin was emcee, and UI President Bruce Harreld presented the Hancher-Finkbine Medallions and Distinguished Student Leader Certificates.

Tippie College of Business sophomore John Akpan wants his fellow students to know there are resources available to help black professionals and business owners succeed in Iowa. To highlight that, he's helped organize a dinner and panel discussion about black-owned businesses in the state.
