Lecuona performs for Old Capitol Piano Sunday

The University of Iowa Old Capitol Museum will host a Piano Sundays concert at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in the Senate Chamber. Choral ensemble Camerata to perform April 7

The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free performance by the choral ensemble Camerata, conducted by David Puderbaugh, assistant director of choral activities, at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in the Second Floor Ballroom of the Iowa Memorial Union. The program will include select works by Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn, Ester Mägi, Kirke Mechem, and Antonio Caldara. Story

Essayist Gornick to read April 8

Vivian Gornick, who wrote for many years at the "Village Voice," will read from her work at 7 p.m. Monday, April 8, in a free reading at Prairie Lights Books in downtown Iowa City. The reading also will be streamed live on the University of Iowa Writing University website. Story

Ben Rogers, director of Research Services in UI Information Technology Services (ITS), will present "Big Data: What's the Fuss?" from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11 in 1117 University Capitol Centre at the Old Capitol Town Center as part of the Public Digital Humanities for Lunch series.
