Working groups forming for AIB transition

The University of Iowa is forming a series of working groups as it begins transitioning the AIB College of Business to the University of Iowa. The AIB president and Board of Trustees announced its intention to gift the college to Iowa on Monday.

Satellites can improve regional air quality forecasting

University of Iowa researchers have found that data gathered from geostationary satellites—satellites commonly used for telecommunications and orbiting about 22,000 miles above the equator—can greatly improve air quality forecasting. Results appear in the journal "Geophysical Research Letters."

Mainstage Series to present 'Good Kids'

The University of Iowa Department of Theatre Arts will present "Good Kids" by Naomi Iizuka as part of a rolling premiere commissioned by the Big Ten Theatre Consortium. This production will be on stage Feb. 5-8 and 11-15 in the David Thayer Theatre.

AIB College of Business to become the University of Iowa Des Moines campus

AIB College of Business Jan. 26 announced that it will become the University of Iowa Des Moines campus. Transition is expected to take at least a year, but the two schools will immediately establish an integration team to begin the process. Eventually Iowa will own AIB’s land and buildings.
