Officials with the University of Iowa will travel to Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) in Council Bluffs and Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) in Sioux City Jan. 13, to officially launch two new UI Partners offices, which support small business and entrepreneur development.
UI Museum of Art breaks participation record

The University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA) set an all-time museum record for for participation and attendance at events during the 2013-14 academic year. The UIMA drew 538,260 people, significantly surpassing the previous historical record of 146,470 for 2012-13.
UI recognized for community commitment

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching selected the UI to receive its 2015 Community Engagement Classification, based on the university's commitment and involvement to the community. The UI has been designated for the first time, and joins 239 other higher-education institutions across the nation for this year’s honor.
