The Cinematheque film series of the University of Iowa International Writing Program (IWP) will screen the 1962 Czechoslovakian feature "The Sun in a Net" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in Room E105 of the Adler Journalism Building.

University of Iowa Recreational Services is hosting its second annual Pump 'n' Run on Saturday, Oct. 6. The event includes bench-press weight lifting and a 5K treadmill run.

Artist, writer, and speaker Makoto Fujimura will talk about the importance of cultivating a “cultural soil” on Sept. 18 during the fall Geneva Lecture.
