University of Iowa Police will extend Nite Ride service hours during finals week.

Teachers from more than seven Iowa communities are converging on Iowa City this weekend to participate in a three-day Interdisciplinary Flood Institute organized by the University of Iowa College of Education as part of a larger initiative, the Living with Floods project.

Leaders with University of Iowa Health Care have appointed Nitin Karandikar, M.D., Ph.D., as the new head of the Department of Pathology at the UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine. Karandikar will also hold the Dr. Richard G. Lynch Chair in Experimental Pathology.

Lee Seedorff, the senior associate director of the University of Iowa's International Student and Scholar Services in UI International Programs shares how she and her colleagues communicate with the more than 3,500 international students and scholars even before they arrive on campus.

The Iowa Print Fair, featuring six art dealers from across the nation and fine art prints from the 17th century to the present, will be held in the University of Iowa Studio Arts Building lobby from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.

Three University of Iowa faculty members have been awarded the distinction of 2012 Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world's largest general scientific society and publisher of the journal Science.
