Semifinalist interviews for UI presidential candidates begin today

The University of Iowa search committee tasked with helping the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, select a new president considered 79 applications at its March 26 meeting, and from that pool, selected 12 candidates who will be interviewed today and Friday, April 1–2.

UI announces 2021–22 academic calendar

The University of Iowa has confirmed the dates of its 2021–22 academic calendar with no changes made to the start or end dates for fall 2021, spring 2022, or summer 2022. The calendar also includes an optional four-week winter session beginning Dec. 20 and a weeklong spring break in March 2022.

Hancher, Ballet Des Moines present Dance into Spring tour

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Ballet Des Moines and Hancher Auditorium have come together to create Dance Into Spring, a state-crossing collaboration featuring outdoor performances in Des Moines, Iowa City, and Muscatine. The free performances offer the opportunity for attendees to gather together for performances celebrating the spirit of renewal.

Iowa students named 2021 Goldwater Scholars

Nyah Davis is a mathematics major from Des Moines, Iowa, whose algebra research focuses on the representation theory of quivers, or directed graphs. Jack Lynn is a biomedical engineering major from Bettendorf, Iowa, who studies computational biochemistry, specifically RNA biomolecular simulation.
