The Iowa Piccolo Intensive, a concentrated series of master classes, exhibits and presentations hosted by University of Iowa School of Music faculty member Nicole Esposito, will feature free, public recitals May 29 through June 1.

The first Eastern Iowa Transgender Medical Symposium Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20, will help to bridge the gap between the local transgender community and health care providers. The University of Iowa’s community and campus group, TransCollaborations, is organizing the symposium.

The University of Iowa College of Engineering will induct Roger L. Koch into its Distinguished Engineering Alumni Academy during the college's spring graduation ceremonies Saturday, May 12. As a part of the ceremony, Koch will deliver the college’s commencement address.
