Hiroyuki “Larry” Kasuga (M.S. in industrial engineering, 1953), 93, reflects on his experiences coming to the UI in 1951 on a Government Aid and Relief In Occupied Areas scholarship. He describes getting his degree in the Iowa Field House from then-President Virgil Hancher as "the happiest moment of my life.”

The UI College of Education recently unveiled a $2 million renovation project on the first floor of Lindquist Center North. The project brought together four separate offices—the Teacher Leader Center, Education Technology Center, Iowa Center for Assistive Technology Education and Research, and I-SERVE.
