The Iowa Board of Regents on Wednesday approved a third consecutive year of freezing tuition for resident undergraduate students at the University of Iowa. The Regents also voted to increase tuition for nonresident undergraduates and graduate students attending the UI by 1.75 percent.

Enzyme may be key to cancer progression in many tumors

A University of Iowa study provides a deeper understanding of how the cancer-causing KRAS gene turns off tumor suppressor genes, and identifies a key enzyme in the process. The findings suggest that this enzyme, known as TET1, may be an important target for cancer diagnostics and treatment.
