University of Iowa alumnus Mark Norris, originally from Ames, Iowa, reflects on his study abroad experience in Reykjavik, Iceland, on the University of Iceland exchange program. He graduated from the UI in 2007 with a degree in linguistics and is currently an assistant professor of linguistics at the University of Oklahoma.

But there’s no national organization linking them to each other. Ali Rosenberg thought it was a missed opportunity. She and fellow UI student Alex Krebs set out to organize a conference that would lay the foundation for such an organization.
