Softball team to hold 'Awareness Day' Saturday

The University of Iowa softball team, which continues to excel on and off the field, spent Monday's practice time inviting people around Iowa City to its upcoming "Awareness Day," which takes place Saturday, April 6 at Pearl Field when the Hawkeyes host Nebraska at 5 p.m. in game two of a three-game set.

Iowa women advance in NCAA Tournament

The University of Iowa women's basketball team ran away from The University of Miami in the second half of last night's opening round of the NCAA Tournament to post a 69-53 win. With the win, Iowa advances to play No. 1 seed Notre Dame on Tuesday. The game will be in Carver-Hawkeye Arena and is scheduled for an 8:40 tipoff. Iowa's Samantha Logic led all scorers with 23 points.
