Nothing compares to the Iowa State Fair, nor to the Hawkeye faithful who flocked to the University of Iowa's booth over the fair's first couple of days.

Located in the Varied Industries Building, the UI booth this year highlights young alumni living and working in communities across the state. Also on hand—trophies brought home by the Hawkeye football team, a life size Herky statue posed for photos, and special guests from a wide range of UI programs.

In addition to the familiar Tiger Hawk tattoos and football posters, visitors can pick up free university "for IOWA" sunglasses, bags, t-shirts, and other swag offered until supplies run out. The fair runs through Sunday, Aug. 17—see the full UI rundown.
