Two University of Iowa students were selected as World Food Prize Wallace-Carver Fellows this summer at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

First-year student Lander Geadelmann is working for the Agricultural Research Service National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment in Ames. Anger Dok, also a first-year student, is working for the Agricultural Research Service Poultry Microbiological Safety and Processing Research Unit in Athens, Georgia.

The two were among 37 students nationwide selected to participate in the fellowship program. Fellows analyze agricultural and economic policy; assist in the management of food, nutrition and rural development programs; and take part in field and laboratory-based research.
