UI student organizations put spotlight on HIV/AIDS awareness
Wednesday, December 2, 2015

IC Red Week, which runs through Dec. 5 and is hosted by a collaboration of University of Iowa student organizations, promotes HIV/AIDS awareness around the Iowa City area. True to its name, the IC Red Week will turn Iowa City red—quite literally, as seen above in the case of the windows of Old Capitol Museum.

In the video below, Apoorva Raikwar, one of the co-organizers of IC Red Week, discusses the "Reading of Names" event held on the UI Pentacrest on World AIDS Day (Dec. 1), and Sue Curry, dean of the College of Public Health, speaks about HIV/AIDS from the public health perspective.
