The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free concert by the University and Concert Bands at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, in the Second Floor Ballroom of the Iowa Memorial Union.

The University Band, conducted by Eric Bush, will perform:

  • Renaissance Suite by Tielman Susato
  • Serenade, Op 22c by Derek Bourgeois (Steven Riley, guest conductor)
  • The Carnival of Venice by Julius Benedict
  • At Morning’s First Light by David R. Gillingham
  • Prairiesong by Carl Strommen (Ernest Jennings, guest conductor)
  • El Relicario by José Padilla (Steven Riley, guest conductor)

The Concert Band, conducted by Kevin Kastens, will perform:

  • Fanfare for a Golden Sky by Scott Boerma
  • Eternal Father, Strong To Save by Claude T. Smith (Eric Bush, guest conductor)
  • Where Never Lark or Eagle Flew by James Curnow (Kevin Kessler, guest conductor)
  • Aerodynamics by David R. Gillingham
