University of Iowa police say a package reported as suspicious at UI Hospitals and Clinics Monday contained a box of tea, some ginger and a greeting card.

UI police say they received a call around 9:45 a.m. about a package initially found at UI Hospitals and subsequently moved outside by a member of the hospital security staff to just west of Hospital Ramp 3.

The package was addressed from someone in India to a UI Health Care staff member.

Police called in the Johnson County Metro Bomb Squad, which arrived around 11:07 a.m. After x-raying the package, the bomb squad determined the package was not a threat.
