Be a part of the healing journey

One in three women and one in six men will be sexually assaulted in their lifetimes. To help them on their healing journey, the University of Iowa’s Rape Victim Advocacy Program seeks volunteers for its 32-hour Volunteer Training Program, which begins June 10. Landmark UI report details cost of sexual violence in Iowa

This year one in 35 Iowa women aged 18-44 will experience sexual violence, according to a new report, “Costs of Sexual Violence in Iowa (2009),” which enumerates not only the incidents of sexual violence in Iowa, but also details the results of a cost analysis to estimate the direct and indirect cost of sexual violence in Iowa.
