Close to 100 junior high students involved with the African American Awareness Program in the Cedar Rapids Community School District will visit the University of Iowa campus on Friday, April 19, learning what life is like on a college campus and discussing the novel "The Skin I'm In." Story
One of the featured characters in "The Interrupters," an award-winning documentary addressing violence in Chicago, will speak at the University of Iowa after a presentation of selected portions of the film at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in the Lindquist Center, Room N300.
