Beginning June 28, the Gateway Project will enter a phase of construction that will narrow North Dubuque Street to two lanes, one in each direction, between Mayflower Residence Hall and Brown Street. Drivers should expect 15- to 30-minute delays during peak hours and plan accordingly.

Per Gateway Project plans, North Dubuque Street will keep at least two lanes open, with occasional closures during university breaks, until construction finishes in 2018.

In addition to its partial closure June 15–19, new portions of West Park Road are tentatively scheduled to close to through traffic beginning the week of July 4. This will block traffic between west campus and North Dubuque Street; drivers should consider alternate routes. Further details will be released as the closure approaches.

UI Parking and Transportation does not currently anticipate significant delays to any Cambus routes due to the North Dubuque Street construction, but Red and Blue routes may experience delays during the upcoming West Park Road closure.

Cambus alerts and service changes are available at transportation.uiowa.edu/cambus and the UI Cambus Facebook Page.
