Second-year Iowa Law student Clare Horan submitted a paper to the 2015–16 Louis Jackson National Memorial Student Writing Competition and received second place.

The annual competition honors the memory of Louis Jackson, a founding partner in Jackson Lewis LLP, which “pioneered the concept of preventive employee relations to help employers shape a positive and productive workplace.”

Horan submitted her paper from Iowa Law Professor Angela Onwuachi-Willig’s Critical Race Theory seminar for the competition.
