John Forbes, owner and operator of the Medicap Pharmacy in Urbandale, was recently presented with the UI College of Pharmacy’s Honorary Alumni Award.

Forbes is also a legislator in the Iowa House of Representatives where he serves on the Appropriations, Commerce, and Local Government committees, and Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee.

The Honorary Alumni Award annually honors friends of the college for their personal contribution toward pharmacy achievement, leadership and service to the profession, the society and the college. These alumni inspire our students and provide role models for the next generation of pharmacists.
