David Duys, a University of Iowa College of Education associate professor of Rehabilitation and Counselor Education, received the NCDA Merit Award last week at the National Career Development Association conference in Denver, Colorado.

The award recognizes significant contributions to the field of career development. Each of the following areas were rated: education and mentoring of career counseling students; development of, or leadership in, exemplary career programs; conduct significant research in the field; and advocacy efforts to inform others about career development.
