The College of Public Health recognized faculty and staff members for their exceptional teaching, research, and service at a May 4 ceremony. Awards were given to those who inspire, innovate, and show outstanding commitment to advancing the mission of the college. 

New Faculty Research Award: Christine Petersen, associate professor of epidemiology

Faculty Mentor Award: Charles Lynch, professor of epidemiology; Edith Parker, professor and head of community and behavioral health.

Faculty Teaching Award: Patrick Breheny, assistant professor of biostatistics; Margaret Chorazy, associate in the Department of Epidemiology

Faculty Service Award: William Clarke, professor of biostatistics.

Faculty Research Award: Corinne Peek-Asa, associate professor of occupational and environmental health.

Staff Research Award: Linda Merlino, research specialist in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health. Fred Ullrich, research specialist in the Department of Health Management and Policy

Staff Service Award: Kimberly Gordon, deputy director of the Heartland Center for Occupational Health and Safety; Michele Hogue, human resource generalist in the Department of Epidemiology.
