The UI once again achieved Tree Campus USA status for 2014.  Landscape Services received the award April 9 during the Iowa Urban Tree Council 25th Annual Awards luncheon in Johnston, Iowa. Tree Campus USA is a national recognition program created by the Arbor Day Foundation. The UI was the first university in Iowa to attain this award in 2009, and the designation has been renewed each subsequent year. Wendy Moorehead was recognized at the same awards luncheon as the “2015 Outstanding Media Partner” for her contributions in promoting trees and sustainable forestry.
