Annual Hawkeye Caucus brings UI presence to Des Moines
Wednesday, April 1, 2015

It's not every day one sees a 10-foot inflatable Herky in the middle of the Iowa State Capitol Building rotunda. That's one of the many highlights of the annual Hawkeye Caucus Day in Des Moines.

Hawkeye Caucus Day is a major, once-a-year gathering of University of Iowa students, university leaders, and state legislators, showcasing the university’s commitment to statewide service.

Students were able to meet with legislators from their hometowns Tuesday, March 31, to discuss issues while university representatives showcased the groundbreaking work being done in Iowa City to the state's capitol.
