The University of Iowa’s Malik Henfield and Tawanda Owens both received 2014-2015 Diversity Catalyst Awards recognizing the deep commitment to diversity the College of Educations’ Counselor Education program exemplifies.

The award honors individuals, organizations, and departments at the UI who have engaged in distinctive and innovative initiatives during the past year which have promoted an inclusive and diverse campus community.

Henfield is an associate professor and program coordinator of the School Counseling and Counselor Education and Supervision programs, and Owens is a graduate student in Counselor Education at the College of Education.
